TASMAN RICHARDSON
Hum: Drone Listening Walks, spring 2021
Two colour risograph quarterly edition of 30
by Pseudonym in collaboration with Brigitte Bardon't aka Kristel Jax
5" x 7"
Printed pocket book mapping and poetically detailing resonant spots for audio. Readers are encouraged to walk to the sites on the map at their leisure and participate in a guided sound tour. So often art requires spectacle. Even the readymades, experimental composition, and industrial music require gallery space, an assembly of people, or recorded transmission. During the Covid-19 lock-down one of our only pass-times is to walk. As environmental noise is blocked, muffled, and chastised in our neighbourhood, we are inspired by the pockets of ambiance that persist to make tactile, collectible guides that share our deep appreciation of the ordinary with other explorers of sound.
